Anaheim’s Katella Commons to Feature Six New Bar and Lounge Concepts
Anaheim is gearing up for a significant hospitality expansion. OCVibe is opening Katella Commons. This marks a new era for the area. Six original bar and lounge concepts are set to debut. They will be part of a 50,000-square-foot market hall. Katella Commons will also house 21 chef-driven kitchens. The grand opening is planned for early 2027. He stated, “Every kitchen, bar, and lounge within the OCVIBE district is intentionally designed to encourage discovery and give guests the freedom to experience the space and the food in their own way”.
The new concepts build upon Anaheim’s existing brewery culture. They offer a more diverse approach to socializing. This includes craft cocktails, wine programs, and late-night options. The development is a major part of the $4 billion OCVibe project. OCVibe is a 100-acre mixed-use district surrounding the Honda Center. It is privately funded by the Samueli Family.
Featured Bar and Lounge Concepts
The six new concepts offer diverse experiences. Chef Rémi Lauvand is guiding the culinary development for Katella Commons. He brings extensive experience from top restaurants.
* Rea’s Ranch: This concept offers a beer garden vibe. It will serve draft beers, natural wines, and coffee. The setting is described as porch-style. It draws its name from the historical ranch of John Rea.
* Barrel Bar: This is a modern European café-style concept. It will offer spritzes, classic cocktails, beer, and wine. Globally inspired small plates will also be available.
* Bar Bacchia: This bar draws inspiration from wine caves. It focuses on amaro-forward cocktails and curated wines. Ancient rituals also influence its design.
* Vesper Lounge: This lounge specializes in gin and martinis. It also features spritzes and botanical spirits. Its design draws from Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics.
Additional Unique Offerings
Two more distinct concepts will complete the lineup. One is a tequila-inspired gathering space. It will be at the social heart of Katella Commons. This area will feature greenery. It will serve cocktails and frozen drinks. The final concept is a high-energy cocktail bar. It will have a theme of ’70s glamour meeting early ’80s maximalism. This pavilion-style bar promises visually striking drinks. Together, these bars aim to create a full day-to-night experience.
